Description

The CTC EcoZenith i255 H II indoor module constitutes a reliable and flexible core for the property's water-borne climate system. The construction is designed for seamless integration with air/water heat pumps in the CTC EcoAir series and rock and liquid/water heat pumps in the CTC EcoPart series. The integrated EnergyFlex concept results in a modular system that can be easily expanded over time. The unit can be connected to a solar collector, water-jacketed stove, wood-burning boiler, pellet stove or pool. When connected to a geothermal heating system, it is also possible to provide pleasant passive free cooling via the CTC EcoComfort accessory.

Well-thought-out buffer volume and safe domestic hot water production

At the heart of the tall module is a generous 223-liter tank that functions as an integrated buffer volume for the heating system. This volume gives the heat pump compressor stable operating cycles and effectively counteracts expansion noise and cracking in pipework or radiators. Domestic hot water is prepared according to the flow-through principle via an acid-resistant copper comb-flange coil. The water is heated continuously when needed, which provides large volumes of up to 65 °C while completely eliminating the risk of stagnant water and legionella growth.

Integrated technology and factory-fitted functionality

The soundproofed and well-insulated casing houses a collection of pre-assembled components that simplify operation and maintenance:

  • Step-controlled immersion heater with a capacity of 15 kW (electric power range 15–18 kW, 3x400V) for reliable peak and reserve heating
  • Factory-fitted motorized shunt valve that fine-tunes the supply temperature to both underfloor heating and radiator coils
  • Complete set of adapted circulation pumps
  • Built-in current sensor with automatic power limiter to protect the property's main fuses

Intelligent control and modern monitoring

The system is controlled via a 4.3-inch color touchscreen with graphic icons and an educational menu structure in several languages. The built-in automation adapts the heat production to the house's instantaneous power needs to minimize the additional electricity, which when installed with a ground source heat pump can reduce heating costs by up to 80 percent. The module comes with an integrated network connection for control via the myUplink app, which allows you to mirror the display on your mobile phone and integrate the system with SmartGrid, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.

Space-efficient design and easy installation

The external dimensions are adapted to traditional standard dimensions for tall cabinets and white goods, with a width of 596 mm and a depth of 673 mm. This simplifies placement in laundry rooms, technical rooms and utility rooms. All 22 mm connections are conveniently located on the top of the unit and are effectively hidden behind the included white cover, creating a stylish and uniform installation.
