Infiltration BDT&WC

Welcome to our range for infiltration of BDT & WC. Here you will find complete sewage solutions and components adapted to purify and take care of the property's collected household wastewater – both bathing, dishwashing and washing water (BDT) and toilet water (WC). For properties outside the municipal water supply network, correctly dimensioned ground-based purification is crucial for hygienic, odor-free and long-term sustainable sewage management.

Our range includes proven sludge separators, modern biomodules and complete infiltration packages from leading manufacturers. Regardless of whether you are installing a new individual sewage system for permanent residence or upgrading the treatment at the holiday home, we offer robust and certified systems that facilitate installation and meet applicable environmental requirements. Explore our solutions and choose the right system for your soil conditions directly at vvsmax.

Installing a single drain for both toilet waste and BDT water places high demands on purification efficiency and dimensioning. Since toilet water supplies both nutrients and infectious agents, a complete system with effective pretreatment and subsequent biological purification in the soil is required.

How does an infiltration system work

A traditional system for infiltration of BDT and WC consists of two main steps:

  1. Sludge separation: The wastewater is first led to a three-chamber well or modern sludge separator where solid particles, toilet paper and sludge settle, while floating sludge is retained.
  2. Biological treatment in soil bed or infiltration: The pretreated water is distributed evenly via spreader pipes over an infiltration layer or through biomodules. Microorganisms in the soil layer break down organic material and purify the water before it reaches the groundwater.

Advantages of modern biomodule packages

Modern packages with biomodules replace large parts of the traditional gravel layer, which provides several practical advantages:

  • Less land intervention: Compact modules are built on a smaller surface area and require significantly less excavation and filling material.
  • Effective aeration: The open structure of the modules ensures a good oxygen supply to the biological treatment membrane, which reduces the risk of clogging.
  • Time-saving installation: Ready-made packages with adapted diffuser pipes, non-woven fabric and pipe fittings provide faster and smoother installation.

Important considerations before purchasing and installing

Before ordering an infiltration system, there are several key factors to take into account:

  • Permit from the municipality: All installation and modification of an individual drain requires an approved permit from the municipality's environmental and health protection committee before work begins.
  • Soil permeability (percolation test): Infiltration requires that the soil allows water to pass through at an appropriate rate. In case of too dense soils (such as clay) or too coarse material, a soil bed with a dense bottom and outlet may need to be chosen instead.
  • Safety distance: Ensure that the prescribed distances to drinking water sources, rocks and the highest groundwater level are maintained according to current guidelines.
  • Capacity and load: Choose a system sized for the size of the household, usually calculated for 5 people (one household, design flow).
