Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI represents a safe solution for moisture-proof installation in spaces that place high demands on the wall's waterproofing. This specially designed waterproofing hatch is equipped with a factory-mounted foil flange that enables direct and watertight joining with the room's approved waterproofing system. The product has undergone tests for placement in wet zones, with the exception of direct exposure in shower or bath areas.

Flexible Mounting Options and Adjustable Fit

The frame for the waterproofing hatch can be installed either directly against a distribution cabinet or anchored to the wall's supporting building frame. All mounting accessories for both installation methods are included in delivery.

• Material selection: Structural parts that are fixed inside the wall are made of stainless steel, while visible outer parts consist of white-painted galvanized steel sheet in the color RAL 9016.
• Level adjustment: The outer frame offers a stepless depth adjustment between 3 and 13 mm to provide a flat and aesthetic integration with tiles or other wall material.
• Design customization: The hatch is completed either with LK Tileable Design Preseal for a concealed tile surface, or with LK Standard Design Preseal for a classic white sheet metal finish.

Important Installation Guidelines

To ensure a correct end result and meet industry requirements, the installation should follow the specified dimensional recommendations:

• Installation depth: A free construction depth of at least 65 mm is required, measured from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the distribution cabinet or shaft bottom.
• Mutual distance: When placing two hatches next to each other, a distance of at least 150 mm between the units is recommended.
• Corner placement: The distance from the cabinet to the adjacent inner corner should be at least 100 mm.
• Substrate type: The hatch is designed for connection to foil sealing layers. It is not intended or approved for installation against plastic mats as a surface layer.
