LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI 550x550 offers a reliable and functional solution for installation in spaces that require a moisture-proof design. This type-approved service hatch is equipped with a mounted foil flange of 50 mm that is placed over a 60 mm frame flange, which enables a tight connection with the wall's waterproofing layer. The unit is suitable for placement in both wet zone 1 and wet zone 2, but is not intended to be mounted directly in the shower zone or in immediate connection with a bathtub.

Surface Options

To create a harmonious and aesthetic finish on the finished wall, the frame door is combined with a suitable exterior door from the range:

• LK Tileable Design Preseal: Ideal when the surface layer is to be provided with tiles, tiles or other ceramic tiling.
• LK Standard Design Preseal: A stylish, white-lacquered sheet metal door that blends well in classic wet room environments.

Flexible Assembly and Construction

The building construction is designed to provide great freedom during installation. The door can be mounted directly against an LK Distribution Cabinet or fixed in the building's own wall frame. All brackets and accessories needed for both installation methods are included in delivery. The outer frame has an adjustable depth roll of 3 to 13 mm to provide a precise fit flush with the surface layer. Components that are anchored directly to the wall structure are made of stainless steel, while other parts are made of galvanized sheet metal in white color (RAL 9016).

Important Installation Requirements

• Construction depth: A free installation depth of at least 65 mm is required, measured from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the distribution cabinet or shaft bottom surface (for example LK Shaft Bottom SECURE).
• Distance for double installation: If two doors are placed parallel, a minimum gap of 150 mm is recommended between the units.
• Corner placement: When installing near corner structures, the distance to the cabinet should be at least 100 mm.
• Waterproofing connection: The work must be carried out in accordance with applicable industry guidelines and applicable lists of approved waterproofing systems.
• Note surface layer: The product is not designed for a waterproofing layer consisting of plastic mat, as there is no approved test method for foil flange against plastic mat.
• Storage: The unit should be stored in frost-free and temperate areas before installation.
