Description

LK Wet Zone Hatch Preseal UNI is a well-thought-out and reliable solution for installing distribution cabinets in wet room areas. The hatch combines a 60 mm wide metal flange with a prefabricated 50 mm wide foil flange to provide a completely leak-proof and durable transition to the wall's waterproofing layer. The product is thoroughly tested and approved for use in wet zones, with the exception of direct placement in or next to shower and bath areas.

Adaptable mounting and construction

The mounting frame offers great flexibility during installation. It can be attached either to the building frame or directly to an LK Distribution Cabinet, and all accessories required for both options are included in delivery. The outer frame has a variable depth adjustment between 3 mm and 13 mm to provide a seamless and stylish fit flush with the finished wall surface.

Durable materials and design

The components that are mounted directly to the wall structure are made of high-quality stainless steel for long-lasting corrosion protection. Other parts are made of galvanized sheet steel painted in a classic white shade (RAL 9016). For best durability and performance, the product should be stored in a frost-free and temperate room before installation.

Important installation instructions

• Construction depth: Requires a free construction depth of at least 65 mm calculated from the outside of the wet room panel to the front edge of the distribution cabinet or installation (for example LK Shaft Bottom SECURE).
• Distance for double installation: When installing two wet zone hatches next to each other, a minimum distance of 150 mm is recommended between the cabinets.
• Distance to corners: When installing near corners, a distance of at least 100 mm is recommended.
• Waterproofing connection: Installation must be carried out in accordance with applicable industry guidelines and together with system-approved waterproofing products. Please note that the product is not intended for installation against plastic mats as a surface layer, since there are no testing methods for foil flanges against plastic mats on the market.
• Completion: The wet zone hatch is completed with a suitable exterior hatch, for example LK Kaklingsbar Design Preseal (for integrated tiling) or LK Standard Design Preseal (white-lacquered sheet metal).
